Basingstoke Live 2009
Festival goes down a storm!
Like the local headlines and media coverage which hailed (sorry no weather pun intended!) this year’s festival a success, we’re pleased to say that even the wet weather didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits at Basingstoke Live 09.
Music, arts and dance fans were treated to over 100 acts during the two day festival. From zombie pussy cats singers (yes, really!) to ‘junk’ percussion bands, hip hop and Indian dancing, international DJing and music from talented up and coming rock, pop, indie and rap artists.
2009 highlights included:
Chipmunk, MOBO award winner 2008
80s ska sensation The Beat
Indie sensation The Foxes tipped to make a huge impact on the UK music scene by NME
UK dance chart successes The Brookes Brothers
Radio 2 ‘one to watch’ singer, songwriter Lisbee Stainton
Check out these acts and more from the whole of Basingstoke Live 09 on our flickr pages.
