Basingstoke Live is an emerging event that is growing each year and building on the success of the previous year.  It is currently funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council who are constantly seeking to engage partners from the commercial sector to work with to enhance the event. It has the potential to become a borough wide event attracting large audiences with a regional and possibly national appeal that pushes Basingstoke to the forefront of the festival calendar.

vinvolved 

The vinvolved North Hampshire Team is a project of Basingstoke Voluntary Services

Known to our friends and supporters as ‘V’, we encourage and support young people aged 16 to 25 throughout North Hampshire to get involved in local events such as Basingstoke Live and volunteer within many charitable organisations and groups. This enables young people to gain new experiences, skills, find new interests and a sense of achievement.

This can help towards future employment!

We also help and support young people to have a voice in the community and start their own project. V can help with training, finding venues, applying for funding and provide varied choice of resources to aid publicity. This includes Podcast equipment, digital editing suite for music & film
website design, publishing & printing facilities.

Unplgd! is one such project. The idea came from a young volunteer musician who wanted to provide a platform to showcase local people’s acoustic talent and be a major part of Basingstoke live!
